Mmmm 7 Gypsies

This is one of my favorite photos of my girls... That is the bestest Mum in the world, sister who I idolize and my baby girl Danielle who is my absolute soul mate. It is only about once a year that we get to have special time together and we just love it to bits.
I have used a fair bit of 7 Gypsies paper and transparencies with the Prima Jack and Jill paper in the background which was a lovely soft blending color.
At Daisys tonight for a late creative night again and then back here in the morning for a 12 hour Scrap for Charity. All the collections go straight to the Qld Flood Victims.
Take care all and have a great weekend where ever you are.

Go here to check it all out and their other yummy products.

New Echo Park Collection

I cannot get over the amount of beautiful papers that get designed and put on the shelves for us to drool all over each and every week. I am continuouslyy surprised with how spoilt we are to create gorgeous keepsakes of our families with these beautiful papers.
I fell in love with the new Echo Park Be Mine Collection. I wanted it all. I picked out a few pieces of the collection and I come up with this layout of my favorite girl in the whole wide world. I will put it onto a 12x12 canvas and send it up to her for her room.

I have used Kaiser rhinestones, Teresa Collins bling button, Delish brad, Martha Stewart punch, Prima flowers Girls Paperie word stickers, Hambly Screeb Prints transparencies, My2Angels camera charm which is ever so cute and a bit of thread. I have lots of left overs to make a few yummy romantic cards as Valentines Day is just around the corner.
Thanks for looking.. Hope you all enjoy a great Australia Day tomorrow. we are off to Morton Bay Island for the day with my boys and sister and husband. Will be a great day on the water. Lots of snacks and yummies packed. and of course the cozies and sunscreen.

My 2 Angels new stock

Take a look over at My2Angels website. They have new stock that has just arrived from Hambly Screen Prints and Echo Park. I have just done a layout using the new Echo Park Be Mine Collection and it is truly gorgeous. It is ever so romantic and beautiful to create a page ont he one you love. Even if it is your son or daughter or niece or nephew etc..... I have done my sweet girl who did a fun photo shoot with a friend in her graduation dress and converse sneakers at the beach and up some trees.. Gotta love creative teenagers..
So go on over to My2Angels and see all new arrivals for this month. They are simply divine. I especially love the Websters Pages Wonderfall Back to School paper. It is so mystical. I can't wait to get my hand on some of it.
Anyway a few ideas to get the inspiration flowing. Mine is right on track right now.. Thank goodness for that.
Have a great Sunday.

My Take on the Challenge

So here is my take on the Challenge from Inspired Blueprints.. There are some lovely layouts coming up. So many talented scrappers out there. I have used my cuttlebug for the bottom layer of frills, then script music paper for the second. I have used scallop scissors and then inked it up. After this I have taped it down all the way along the page in a gather then sewn it down in place. Next is the Martha Stewart Punch using the MME Fine and Dandy collection. Next is the gorgeous Tim Holtz Tissue Paper Tidings... it is so magical. I love it. Next I have used Websters Pages trim which is one of my favorites too. The tree branch is the new chippy collection from Pink Paislee.
So I hope you have all had a bit of a squizzy at all the takes on this challenge. I love seeing peoples different interpretations of sketch challenges.
I'm at my fav place tonight scrapping with all the girls.. Daisy's.. Love this place....
Take care all my friends and thanks for stopping in to say hi .

I so adore this photo I took of Danielle when she was only 7. It was taken on the beach in Mackay. I love that she loved to wear pretty dresses and had her hair in pigtails and was just so girly. She is still my little wee soul mate even though she decided to up and leave me 9 months ago. I know it will be 12 months in April.... but I can't seem to get my head around that it has been nearly 12 months.
I have used the gorgeous October Afternoon paper ... Modern Homemaker collection.
It is so cute and I do love the vintage retro feel about the papers. Easy to put together. Love it.
I had a lady come into work this morning wanting me to scan a photo for her. It was 40 years old.. and it was bigger than an A4 size. They were all sitting in the lounge with the old TV in the background and the record player. She was passing a record over to her Mum to play.. It was "The Sound of Music".... I wanted to beg her for the photo just to scrap using this collection. Was a beautiful family photo. No poses.. just doing their thing in the lounge. Priceless.
Ok, back off to work now.. Lunch break... Laptop... gotta fit it in when I can.
Take care everyone..

Eggstatic!!!!!

One the first night sleeping in our new house, I woke up at 4.20am to the sound of something like... Cocka doooooooooooooooodilllldooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
I then thought to myself... oh no!! I love my sleep in the morning since most nights I don't even climb into bed til after midnight. But ever since I have honestly not even heard them. They are super cute to watch. They belong to the neighbours but always wonder on over to our place to come and say hello.
Was so funny yesterday while Ken was planting some sun duals for me that he come inside with the biggest grin on his face.. This is what he had found in our garden just outside in our back garden. Made me laugh!!!! So mmmm thanks a million... you're welcome back anytime.
So it will be a fresh omelet for us for dinner tonight!
Cheers to our neighbours.

When I saw this gorgeous range from My Minds Eye (Fine and Dandy) and Alphabet Soup, I was so excited and could not wait to use them. I love the wee owls and swirls. They are simply divine. I have added October Afternoon Mini Market letters, American Craft Thickers, Websters Pages Sparkles, Kaiser Rhinestones, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, Websters Pages Flock Border, Jenni Bowlin Buttons, Crate Paper ( Little Sprout Collection) and Jenni Bowlin Kindergarten Alpha letters. Also the sweet as chippy bird cage which I have inked up. I have doubled up on the bottom swirls, inked the edges up and twirled the edges up for a bit of dimension.
I cannot believe how hot it is out there today..... I have no air conditioning in our house and I am getting a quote today.. I know it's going to be so expensive but I need it at least in my scrap booking room. I am sitting here at Daisys Chain Scrapbooks at the moment with my laptop having a chat to Barbi. So awesomely cool in this shop right now. Off to go and take out a second mortgage to get Corey's new school uniforms for Grammar. He is starting this year. Will be excellent for him.
Thanks for stopping in and will touch base again soon.

Beautiful Fabrics...!!

About September last year I stumbled across this gorgeous fabric shop in Hervey Bay called Dew Drop Inn. OMG!!!!!!!! Totally stunning shop and mind blowing. I spent all my weekend money there on the right amount of owl fabric to make up a queen size quilt. It is going to be basic and easy as this is how I want it... but it is going to be absolutely stunning with the fabrics and colors I have chosen. It will take me a fair while to put together but I will keep you posted.
I also found this site here to...
I have also bought some ...cover your own buttons from there to make my own cute buttons to add to my pages. Has anyone done this..?
Nice to see some sunshine outside but it is as humid as ever. Not nice. I am thinking of all those poor families down south in Caboolture and now Brisbane.
Love always.. Moonie x

My cute as wee niece Karenza

When we were on our boat cruise in New Zealand I got to spend 8 hours with my beautiful Mum and Poppa John.. We had the best ever day and jammed so much in.
In the afternoon I got a special surprise to have my cousin Tonya and her 3 gorgeous kids with us for a few hours on the beach. Corey looved so much to spend this precious time with them on the beach. They explored for shells and seaweed, had running races, icecream fights... lots and lots of photos and these are just some precious photos Ken took of Karenza and I in the water. She was so excited when she found this star fish.
I have used the new MME Alphabet soup paper range and a bit of.... ummm.. forgot.. gotta get back to them. Prima letters, Kaiser wood chip, Websters Pages lace with rose buds on it. I would like to put it onto a canvas for her for her room but not sure if it will look as good once it gets to the New Zealand shores.
Thanks for looking.... love all your work out there too.

Qld Floods

These are just 3 photos that I took of our house today. We have had so much rain it is so devastating. We are lucky that we only have minor floods and our garage is flooding but we have it under control by sweeping it out and got fans on it to dry the flooring. We lost our phone line 5 days ago but at least we are dry and safe. I feel so sad inside for the families who have lost so much and family members. Tomorrow I will post some photos of our pub up North that we had just renovated 4 years ago and we were hit by cyclone Larry. It was devastating. Somehow my husband still sold beer out of our bottle shop with no lights.. He was happy to still sell with a camping light. Well the locals up there drank beer rain, hail or shine.. even hot!!!!!!!!!!
We are just having a family outing at the local Hotel as we all have cabin fever. I am happy to catch up on blog posting and hoping as I dont have internet at home.. what is making me laugh as I type this is that he is bored out of his brain as I am not able to talk to him.... I said... mmmm go and get a news paper like you normally do.. Drives me nuts when we go out for a coffee and all he does is reads the paper and I end up talking to the chair beside me... So... pay back time.. hahahahahahahah
Keep safe everyone

Cordless Pink Heat Gun

Check out this super cute cordless Heat Gun!! I am just about to start having a play with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Clear Rock Candy, Crackle Paint, Embossing Powders etc. I am loving the idea of the different textures and techniques.. I love painting on canvas and exploring the world of paints and elements.. so I will be open for any ideas and suggestions or even if you have tried something and it hasn't worked out for a reason.. Let me know how you discovered the correct way or easier way. Everyone finds an easy way to do these sort of things and its great to share your positive experiences and your booo boos.. hahahaha
I hope all you Queenslanders here are keeping dry. We have flood warnings now in the Sunshine Coast. The Bruce Highway is cut now from Gympie up. I feel for all the families that have lost so much and have been evacuated out of their homes. Terribly sad.
Love to all and keep safe.

Honorable Mentions!!

After all the hype of moving house and going on our boat cruise I have forgotten to post my exciting news ....
I got 2!! Honorable Mentions for my work I submitted for the Scrapbooking Memories Masters 2010. I was so excited when I got off the boat in Sydney and read one of my SMS's that I received an HM!! Then the next SMS was ..... OMGosh, you have 2!! I was over the moon and delightfully surprised to have received these.
These are my two submissions that I received the HM for:
This was my Off the Page submission. When Danielle left home 9 months ago the one thing she requested from me was to send her all her favorite recipes.... so just 5 days before the deadline for the Masters it hit home was I should do for my OTP project.
It had been under Danielle's Christmas tree for 3 weeks and she cried when she opened it. It was her most favorite present out of all I sent her. That then made me cry.... :-(

This was my Single Layout submission which was required a non scrapping object or a recycled object. I have used an old film strip negative under her photo. This is the one submission that I thought would definately let me down as it was 12am when I started it and was 3.45am when I got into bed. I then then very next day only left to pop it into fast post to NSW. I just love this layout as this is MY GIRL AND I LOVE THIS DARLING PHOTO OF HER... and it is all about her in this layout. So I was ever so grateful and excited when I learnt that I had an HM for this.

This is my double layout submission.

So that's it for me... Congrats to all the new Masters!!!!!! You all sooo deserve your placings as your work is outstanding and I love it all.
And congrats to all the other girls who got an Honorable Mention. Good luck next year everyone.

A bit out of my league...

When I see paper like this I just love it and it makes me feel like a little girl who wants to play with this such cute as paper... but then when I get it home to play with .... I struggle.. Not sure what it is. Maybe cause I feel like I can't grunge it up or something.. Not sure. But this is what I have come up with. I love this photo as it is my family all put together and we were away for a special weekend. I was 15 here. I showed my husband the other day and this is one photo that he has not seen. He said.... gee girl.. you even had a mullet then. OMG!!!!!!!!!! Moonie with a mullet... I don't think so Tom!! I had my hair pulled back up the top thank you!
Anyway go and check out these papers at My Little Shoebox. They are seriously cute.

I have been procrastinating about using these papers as I have wanted to Glimmer Mist them. I am totally afraid of Glimmer Mist except the Gold.. hahhha...
I gave it a go but then gave up. So I have used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to ink up my paper. I have used a bit of Tims products here, Heidi Swapp letters, Dusty Attic chippy, Collections chipboard bird, Crackle Paint, Prima lace, My 2 Angels hand made embellishment and a few other bits. I have done this for my husbands son who is in this picture. I have put it on a canvas and it does look great for them to hand on their wall.

Thanks for looking girls... look forward to getting online permanently as I am going out of my brain not being able to keep in touch and be inspired daily by all your work out there.
Oh well... good things come to those who wait. Thank goodness for Friday nights at Daisys and cafes.
Night night all

Our new home

Firstly this is the canvas I got for Ken for Christmas. I had it hidden under the bed and I bought it out on Christmas morning. He was wrapped. I love it.

Now this is our new home.. It is taking a wee bit of time to get used to as I am now in the bush and not near the water.. even though we are only ten minutes away from the beach.. it is totally different for me. It took many hours to clean as the owners walked out and just left the place without cleaning it.. I on the other hand left mine like a display home. Just how we bought it. We have been there for two weeks now and pretty well settled in now. The neighbours have chooks and we listen to them in the morning. It is nice.
I am still waiting for the internet to be connected at home but it is going to be a long haul I think. Pain in the bum and I am missing the motivation and inspiration. So bring it on.
Take care everyone and cant wait to get online again.
