Tim Holtz - Gotta love him

Hi everyone.. I hope you all have had a good weekend so far.. not sure what's happened to our winter..Crazy weather. I am indeed not ready for the summer temps to come on it. No sir ree..
I have been having so much fun playing with the Tim Holtz Lost and Found 12x12 Paper Pad and embellies that I have gathered up in the past few weeks.
This soo special photo was taken of Corey when he was only 5 days old and full up on Mummas milk. He was so easy to place wherever we liked. I have had this photo in a frame for 7 years and it just dawned on me the other week to take it out of the frame and scan it. So that's exactly what I did and I also changed the color to a bit more of a sepia look.
These are some of my most favorite girls.. We had so much fun on our wedding day doing the photo shoot. From the left is my daughter Danielle, then my blista Tanya, Mwaa, my bestie Mandy Moo from Mackay, her daughter and then my step Daughter Tammie.
Looove loove loove these Webster's pages. They just are so easy to creative with as I have this so romantic feminine feel to my mood when I scrap with them.
Lastly here is the boy again... Ohhhh Danielle I need you to send me some photos so I don't look like I am obsessed with scrapping your wee brother.
Here is Corey just moments after entering this world. I have used the gorgeous Fancy Pants boy overlay. I love it. I have had it for ages and finally got to use it how I wanted. Also I have used My Family printed paper and Road Show printed paper, Martha Stewart punch, EK Success scallop punch, my new Banner punch and a few bits and bobs.
I thought I had done pretty good this week on my inspiration. I managed to get the last two layouts done last night at Daisys.
Love my Friday nights there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for looking.

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Well I have been very busy all of last week. I did about 35 hrs in our shop and I was run off my feet. Hard to keep up with life, housework, being a Mumma and a wifey while at work from 8.30am and home again at 5.45pm. Lucky for me it is not all the time. I am really enjoying working in the lab now. More so than I did when I first started.
With all of this we had a terrible tragedy in our family. There has been a motor bike accident and we sadly lost a family member on Thursday night. We are all in such shock with this accident it pulls you up so far in your own life. You never know when your last day on this earth is. I know it is a very sad subject but also girls... this is LIFE.. and we are living it. So please remember to be kind, happy, make sure you achieve what you want to and once again... make sure you are happy. We only get one chance at this life.. we don't get to come back and give it another shot.
You all mean so much to me and I love being online and having a chat with you all. You are all so inspiring and keep my love for scrapping going.
Love you all

Someones trash is now my treasure

I so love garage sales and love to get a bargain. I think it is in all us girls to a certain point. Ken and I went over to the neighbours place today for a coffee and a catch up. My eyes popped out when I saw this lovely shabby white book case in her garage. I had a million visions in my wee head. LOL..
So I did ask her what she was doing with it and she said she was putting it on ebay. She is an ebay queen. Buys and sell lots with success. I was lucky enough to be able to buy it there and then off her for $40. What a great buy!!
So I come home and jiffed it up and gave it a little TLC and here it is.

Just another bit of white furniture to add to my scrapping room. Love it x
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I worked all day yesterday. Done about 35 hours this week. Got tomorrow off and heading to Jimboomba.
Take care and love to you all

Obsessed and Addicted

I am a self confessed obsessed and addicted Scrapbooker.. I have been arty farty since a was a wee lass and I have done everything from sketching with pencil, sewing, quilting, mosaic designs, Painting on canvas and love playing with home soft furnishings and decor. I have been there, done that with these all but still like to paint when I get the time... but scrapping... I feel this immense crave to scrap every week. And it's a wonder why when you look at sites like this....Pink Paislee!!
The new products and paper that people are designing each and every week is outstanding and we get the full benefit of it. So go over to Pink Paislee and check out the new ranges they are bringing out soon. Just soo yummy I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Now I'm off to check out your blogs girls.. been a full on week and feeling pretty quiet right now.
Love to you all

I have currently got my grubby wee hands on Tim Holtx 12 x 12 Lost and Found Paper Stacker which is sooo gorgeous. It has 36 exciting full on vintage pages with full pages, strips, clocks, cards, script writing, bingo cards.. the absolute lot!!
I love it. I have not done anything to this background paper... this is it.. just plain ol' grungy. In this range he also has the Shabby Vintage which colors consist of pink, blue and sepia tones. It is divine.
I just had to take the opportunity while Corey was on his scooter in front of me on the Caloundra boardwalk to snap this shot of his cute toosh.
These are his new Pumpkin Patch jeans we got a couple of weeks ago.
Normally I tell him to take off his good clothes when he is outside playing but I know these will be too short for him so I told him he can live in them if he wishes... and he looves them.. won't take them off. They are nice and comfy and look hot :-)
Thanks for coming by and checking out what I have been doing.
Happy scrappin girls

This one's for you Mum

I am looooving this Bo Bunny 'Mamma Razzi Range" of PP. Love the grunge look and my new 12x12 Tim Holtz PP pad I have just seems to blend in perfectly with it. Make sure you go over and check out Timmys range of PP. He also has a Shabby Chick range and this consists of blue and pink and vintage colors.
I have used Tim Holtz Distressed Crackle Paint on my A2Z scraplet. This color is Soot.

My journal ling is hard to read so I will let you read it here:

At some point in our lives we come to realize that there is only few people in our lives that are always there. Mum you have been such a supportive role model in my life. You have never been judgemental, you support me in whatever decision I have ever made, you have always listened, then advised. I have also been blessed with the best ever Step Dad who also have always listened to me and been a great pillar of strength. I love you both.

Ok off to work for my 10 hour day. Grrr...... oh well,.,.,.,. need that cash to support my gorgeous habit.
Have a great week girls...

My Sunday

After not feeling well for days Ken decided to take Corey and I to lunch right on the beach. It was just what I needed. We had a massive walk along the beach pathway while Corey rode his cool scooter (which I might add his Auntie Tanya found outside someones house in a pile of rubbish that the council pick up - great score). Then we had the yummiest lunch and then come home. Was nice to have a family day together as we get so absolutely tied up in our business and life in general. We are always so busy - all of us I am meaning... and it is so important to take time out to realize what a great life we have and just how blessed we are to be perfectly healthy.
Love to you all and thank you for sharing your comments on my blog xx Just love it

There is heaps out there and Stuck always have a good sketch.

Below is my take on the sketch.
I did have a photo of me there but found that this sweet wee pea looks so much more inspiring instead of an old boiler .... hahaha

I hope you all had a good weekend. I had a lovely quite one with my family. Well needed.. Haven't been feeling crash hot so was nice to have nothing on.
See you all through the week.

Simply Devine

This was the day of my 40th birthday in December last year. And these are my great friends of 14 years from Mackay who now live in Brisbane. Their surname is DEVINE so the title to me was truly appropriate. They are mad, whacky and just as stupid as me and thats why we have the best ever friendship. Not too much to this layout which is a change for me. The orange spotted pp is Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug Collection, script pp is one of my ever favorites October Afternoon Tea Towel, blue pp is Fancy Pants - about a boy, Cosmo Cricket Yummy tag, and a Farm Fresh tag from October Afternoon. I have covered the stars and applied Glossy Accents on the top for that luscious glossy finish. Home all weekend thank goodness for a quiet family weekend indoors by the look of the windy rainy weather outside. That's all fine by me as I am loving feeling guilt free being inside all weekend. Even have Corey next to me scrapping a page himself. He loves it. Have a great weekend. Moonie x

Friday, July 9, 2010

Well I am certainly feeling the cold winter temperature here today. It is probably also because I am inside with Corey and not outside. I think it is always colder inside than out during the day as we have tiles throughout our house and glass everywhere. Great summer home.. freezing cold winter home. We are just chilling out watching The Jungle Book as Corey had a his baby molar tooth taken out today and a spacer put in replace of it. He got a big chip out of the tooth so had to get it taken out. He had the gas and of course a couple of needles for the extraction but is not feeling too flash. I feel for him as I would hate something permanent in my mouth I had to get used to.
I got my grubby liddle hands on this gorgeous Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack the other day and I am in love with it. It has pink and blue and vintage color paper in the stack. This is the girly card I made for my friend who had a bubby the other day. I love the Tim Holtz grunge paper which is what I used on these flowers. Once they are cut out you can use the end of a pencil or scissors and bend up the petals on your flowers.
Thanks for looking...

Cool A2Z chippy

I just wanted to share this layout with you as it is not a new one I have done lately but I guess I am loving it as it is a favorite photo of my darling girl Danielle and her Dad at Dream World. I love these photos how they come up and everyone has so much fun dressing up.
My journalling reads:
Father and Daughter WANTED!!
Daughter 18yr old gorgeous brunette, extremely innocent like, but highly dangerous.
Father mid 40's and wildly cunning.
Love the A2Z scraplet I have used here. I have used a rub on on it with the REWARD $10,000. Very vintage looking.
Thanks for looking x

7 Gypsies Printed Paper

When I first saw this paper I thought oooh that is so not me... but put myself to the challenge and put this together last night. I must admit it took me a while, but it did scrub up ok. I am loving the new Tim Holtz range out and all his wee bits and pieces. The are awesome to use in vintage layouts and the ideas never end using his products. I have a Teresa Collins Journal tag in here, bits of Tim Holtz and I am loving his measuring tape... 7 Gypsies PP, lace, Bella Lettering, Jenny Bowlin button and a Collections overlay (which is the sweet butterfly).
This is for you Lisa Hayes... hope you like it of you and Dunc.
Thats it for now. I did a ten hour day today so I am in my lounge with a nice cold beverage and being waited on. So nice. Looks like a big juicy T bone for dinner. Mmmm
Thanks for stopping in

Check out this cute wee card I put together. I had two friends last week that had wee bubbies. One girl Eboni and a boy Khobi. I must say I had more fun creating this card using this cute paper.

Look girls... Two layouts in one night!!!

This is truly unbelievable for me.. Two layout on a Friday night. I had the first one done by 9pm I think. I normally only get one done all night....so Im not sure what happened. I need to do more layouts of Corey when he was a bub. He hated wearing hats so in many of his photos he is tugging at the hat on his head.
In this one below I have used the Crate Paper... Season Collection - Cloudy, October Afternoon tape measure, October afternoon alpha letters, Collections Overlays.. these are the butterflies, Jenny Bowlin Bingo Card, Prima flowers and the gorgeous 2 Crafty Tree. And of course the thread around the border of the Printed paper.

I have some great shots of the other day at the strawberry fields and the park so instead of deciding on just a couple I have used the Kiosks at our shop GARRICKS CAMERA HOUSE. In here instead of selecting Make Prints, you chose Get Creative and here it gives you the options to make a collage and many other things. You can decide on how many prints you would like to use, chose a color background, select a layout for them or have them shuffled.. so here is my 5x7 print.
I have been busting to use the October Afternoon paper. I think it is so cute for a kids layout.
I have also used Making Memories Felt Alpha letters, Making Memories Flutter Felt flowers and October Afternoon fly a kite PP.

I even got started on a third layout last night using the new 7 Gypsies paper. Make sure you come back here in a few days to check it out.
Hope your Saturday has been good to you.
I was having the day off but due to sick staff... I was called in for the day.
Chat soon xx
