Here are a few great shots of yesterday when I took Corey and my friend Leanne and her cute as a bug daughter Chloe to the strawberry fields to pick some sweet fresh strawberries.. and boy oh boy were they just gorgeous. It is so lovely to see the kids enjoy the outdoors and yesterday was a splendidly beautiful sunny day. After we got a 1kg punnet each for the kids we headed to Cotton Tree park next to the water and had a picnic and let the kids play in the park. Corey was great with wee Chloe and she just followed him everywhere. She was on top of the world.

I love days like this......... a beautiful day outside for the kids.
That's all for tonight. I hope you are all rugged up as it is soo nice and cosy. Love this weather so much.

Got my Laptop back.. woohoo

Well I have only had my new laptop for a month or so, but I had to give it to a friends IT guy to sort out as I bought an AVG virus protector which seemed to want to block out all internet!! I have only just got it back after 4 days and I must say I coped so well with it away.. got to bed early..OMG but is good to be back in the online living.. OMG that sounds so desperate.. Oh well.. so be it..
But the good thing is that I have a couple of layouts to share with you.
This layout is very special to me. Yes it is me on my wedding day with my gorgeous flower girls and brides maids.. but more important.. this is my Dad who I lost just 12 months after this photo. And it is the last photo we had together as he lived in NZ and me here. It has taken nearly 5 years for me to scrap a photo of my beautiful Dad. I still cannot come to scrapping one of him on his own, but I am over the moon I have scrapped this. And I know my Mum will be very proud.

This next one I did Friday night at Daisys. I see so many layouts using animated prints and I just love them but seem to struggle with them.. so I was determined to try and put one together. Love this photo of Corey when he was just a wee 4. Gee they grow up way too fast.

Nice to be back online and I will go and check out lots of blogs tonight. Cant wait to go and purchase this months Scrapbooking Memories to see my first ever layout published. Thanks SBM!!!! You're the best x

A truly inspiring girls weekend

I decided to do a couple of challenges for a change this weekend. I did part of my book I am doing for myself and between looking after my girls, trying to keep my big open house warm, keep the music going, keep Corey entertained for the first 3 hours of my Saturday I managed to get two layouts done. I cannot believe these other girls scrap like flying friggin rockets.. I am sooooooooooo slow... I procrastinate and put on and take off... but hey... thats just me I guess. In this layout I used the gorgeous Websters paper which I have only ever used once and that was on a card. And also the Pink Paislee scalloped printed paper. Go over to Artastic Challenges and check them out. Coolest site. In this layout below I used the very cool 7 Gypsies PP -Ecriture, Pink Paislee PP- Shooting Stars and Starlight bright, October Afternoon letter stickers, Cosmo Cricket lettering, Little Yellow Bicycle Fabric Borders, Bo Bunny candy brads, punched out starts inked up, Jenny Bowlin yummo buttons, and I think the cool vintage camera is from the Mama Razzi range. I was a bit adventurous and gave it a bit of a squirt with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. This layout is my take on the Stuck June Sketch Challenge.

Thanks girls for coming to my house and scrapping all day Saturday. I think we covered 15 hours of scrapping.. well I did by the time I plonked my tired weary body into bed. The Brisbane girls left about 8.30pm after a yummy cook up of Barbies famous Nachos. They were such a hit by all 7 of us. And a special big hug to Tarrah who come all the way from the icicles on ya snozz NSW. She was an absolute darling girl to fly all the way up here to meet me and play all weekend. We finished our day by going to my favorite spot just meters from home for brunch before heading to the airport again.

Ok, girls.... thanks for stopping in and saying hi.... now off to check out my bloglines x

Wow, I cant believe how the weather temp has dropped so much... but I am loving it. I am in my jarmies by 5 and all rugged up ready for the cold nights. Today I spent the whole day just spring cleaning the house, doing windows and lots of other bits and pieces as I had time for it. I love being home on the weekends and just hanging out here and going no where. I was peed off that I even had to get in the car and go and get the pool water tested. After I finished, I plonked myself in our media room with all the curtains open as the warm toasty sun was coming in. I played on my laptop listening to music DVD's which was the perfect Saturday afternoon for me. My husband has been away for nearly two weeks. We have just opened up another Camera House store in Rockhampton this week so he has been away setting up camp up there. Will be nice to have him home even though life at home with just Corey and I is bliss... but only for a short time.. Gotta have that complete family package. Love it and love life.. Hope you are all well and happy and rug up tight tonight. NOT HAPPY JAN about not being able to make it to the Brisbane Scrapping Expo. I could take Corey ... he would be happy for probably two hours pushing it as he loves to scrap too.. but I want to cruise along without any pressure for about 5 hours... so will have to give it a miss. So all of you out there who are going or went... have fun. I'm just thinking of the money I will be saving. Well that's I am thinking. See you all soon.. thanks for stopping by.

Love Sundays x

My girlfriend Lisa Hayes come over last night to have a scrapping night. We had lots of fun procrastinating for hours first but then got down to the serious nitty gritty of designing. I did this page of.... you guessed it... Corey boy. I have so many beautiful scraps left from layouts I so really wanted to use them up. I got inspired using these colors as I took some funny passport photos of him at work the other day. Passport photos are so shockingly serious. I take so many each week for people and they all hate them as they look like mug shots. So Corey and I had some fun along the way being silly. I used these three photos in his layout so the soft aqua color of his school uniform started me off as to what color combo I was going to have.
As you can see I have used my new Cuttlebug which I am really excited about. After Jenny showed me how to put your sandwiches together for either embossing or cutting.

This one I did of my Danielle who I am dearly pining for. I scanned the gorgeous picture of her the other day at work and I was so surprised as to how beautiful the colors come out. She is 4 in this photo and was so full of laughter and life. The background sheet is the Making Memories Addie diecut Scallop, October Afternoon PP, Sassafras cardstock stickers which are gorgeous, K&Co Diecut leaf, Bella Velvet Alphaz and a few other bits.
I love this pic of her. Time has just gone sooo too fast for me. But she is the happiest girl up in Townsville so as much as my heart aches for her, it is smiling inside that she is happy because that is the most important thing to me as a Mum. To know my children are as happy as they can be in their wee lives.
See ya all now. Corey and I are off on our push bikes to Mooloolaba to see the brave sensational Jessica Watson our one and only teenage girl who sailed all around the world on her own make her entrance in to her home town.

Prima's Beautiful Paper

I have been really busy the past few weeks with work and learning all that I have to in our Camera House shop. I did not realize just how much there was to learn but I am certainly getting there. I have stepped down from my two DT positions that I had as my time is very precious right at this stage of my life so it is best for me do this... but the good thing is that it has freed me up to scrap whenever I feel that sudden urge to do a page with full inspiration going on.
In this layout I have used the gorgeous Prima Printed paper, a bit of music note paper that I bought from St Vinnies, Basic Grey rubon blingies, MME Lush brads which are so sweet, and a K&Co tag. the background paper i have used is lovely. It is from the new Basic Grey Cappella range.
Thanks for looking x
