Girls night in

I was invited to go and spend some time with 3 awesome girls yesterday in Brisbane. We had some great movies while we scrapped, yummy dinner and lunch especially cooked for the occasion, a few wines and mixes and of course awesome company with lots and lots of mojo being thrown around the room.
This is one of my layouts I put together with a touch of inspiration from Kim Jeffress. I stated the fact that I struggle to have white space on any of my pages. Just doesn't feel right. So I put myself to the challenge and failed miserably... but was super happy with the end result anyway.
Fiscars clouds punches, Banner and twine from Gail Lindner Esty store which are so perfectly cute, October afternoon paper, Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers, Thickers letters, my2angels journal pin, circle frame around Corey from Little Yellow Bicycle Pack your bags range and paper. Was also so awesome to see my girl Taryn Stark who was making some pretty amazing cards at her leisure over a few glasses of wine.

And here is my second layout I completed.
These are such beautiful feminine papers and I had the perfect photo that I wanted to use for these. This is one of my besties up in Mackay who I saw not long ago and her new baby girl Ebony. Little wee Ebs she is. Such a darling of a little gir who has the cheekiest gummy bear smile.
I have used the Graphic 45 Once upon a Springtime range. The perfect paper for me to play with, ink it up, distress it, tear it and lots of tags and so on to use on your page. I have used Collections Transparency on the top of the page and just cut that shape out. I love them. Just added a stunning brad over the top of it.
So there you have it. I had a great night and a productive one at that.

Today is a very lazy day. Well and truly deserved. Our house is so quiet, Corey has friend over and they are making mobile boats out of plastic bottles to float in the pool while Ken and I relax and have some quiet time together.... ps.. while I get all my instructions typed up and sent off.
Hope you are all having a great weekend too.

  5. I agree with Tracy, how wonderful to spend time with Taryn and Kim, and you know I love white space too and so struggle with it, but I sometimes wonder if white space shouldn't be classed as anywhere wher their is just no embellies or photos etc...don't change a thing, I just love love your gorgeous style. Look forward to meeting you in June. MElxx
