Exciting news to share tonight

Well after the surprising email from Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals inviting me all the way from USA to join their Design Team.... I was pretty stoked and was very happy accept.
There are 10 of us on the Design Team.  All of the lovely ladies are overseas and Im the only one here in Australia.. I feel soooo far away from them all. LOL
Today they have introduced me on their website so go here and take a look.
I am working on my first project for them at them moment so it will be up to view in just days so keep an eye out.  The ladies are all wonderful and very friendly.  We all do such different styles of work so it will be nice to see all the work that is created.
Go on over to the blog and check out all the new Designers .
Thats all from me tonight.. Off to do some creating.

Kaiser Craft Desk Organiser

I was thinking of ordering this nice big white storage shelf and drawers on casters.  It is very cool and i want to use it for my Project Life Journal cards.  I have a good little stash now and really ant to be organised with it all.
But today I finished this project.  It is the super duper Kaiser Craft Desk Organiser.  It is very easy to put together and all works perfectly.  I have used wood glue to make it super tough and will lightly hammer two little nails in the back top and bottom on each side.
I bought it last week and wasn't sure how it would turn out or even if I would like my end product.   But I love it......I used the gorgeous  Amy Tan and Simple Storeies SN@P papers.  Suits perfectly for what I am using it for.

And look how snug all my papers and journal cards fit in.

And guess what..... I am going to get my second one tomorrow so I can do one the same and sit them next to each other..... as I have a funny feeling my Project Life products will be increasing massively.
Thanks for stopping in

SN@P

I have got my hands on this yummy Simple Stories SN@P collection.. it is funky brights with the quirkiest journal cards and sayings and words. Very cool.  I have got quite a bit as I plan to start Project Life January 2013.  I am putting together a Kaiser Craft Desk Organiser at the moment and using the SN@P range.  Pretty cool.  Go to the Simple Stories website and check out their goodness.  Ohh so good.
I have put together another PL page.  Just doing random pages til the new year project starts.

So here is my weekly routine now.. Project Life.. then layout... then some other crafty stuff... but I am loving what I am doing.. There is just never enough creative hours in my day.
I am pretty happy with this layout of Corey and I at Condalilla Falls near our place.  We had a gorgeous day the three of us.  So nice to get out of city life and be in the native bush.  The trees were magnificent and all had their own characters..

PRODUCTS I HAVE USED

College Press Letters - Knave of Hearts
Crate Paper Chipboard - Restoration
American Craft - Amy Tan Thickers - Journal Diario
My Minds Eye Paper- The Sweetest Thing - Reasons Why
Basic Grey Paper - Clippings
My Minds Eye Paper - Stella & Rose
manilla Tag
Jenni Bwolin Tag
The Greatest View N0.9 Button (age of Corey)
Heidi Swapp Stamp
Arrow Punch

And for another Project Life page

That's all folks.. I have a friend coming over soon and we are putting together Kaiser Craft Desk Organisers.  I am loving mine so far.. but time will tell. Depends on how my building comes together. My Advent Calendar I put together 12 months ago was a bit... ummm sad on the erecting part I must say.  Lucky my DH fixed it for me.
Keep an eye out for my finished project.
Have a great week all my friends...

Happiness is GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Well the silly season is well and truly here.  I went into my local Plaza yesterday and I could not find a park for ages, the drivers were impatient, the queues were hideous, the shops are trashed...... and I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there.  When you work in retail every day you get to dislike retail... Actually... thats not it... its not the retail you get to dislike.... it's being around impatient, rude people. And I must say I hate being in a crowded shop or shopping centre at the moment.  Its way to busy for my mind to cope with on my relaxed days off.

I was going to start my Christmas shopping but got put off, grabbed a coffee and sat down instead.  So yeah.. I still have to face it ... but I have decided I will take my son shopping on Saturday as I have the day off and he is keen as mustard to do some Christmas shopping.  So we will have a nice day together.
I got a few little treats for my scrapping room as I am having a bit of a change, nothing too much, but just a few little pretties to add to it.
Tomorrow I have the day off and I am looking forward to going training and then I may go to the beach and watch the waves smash down.  I have nothing on so my day is free and I love it that way.

Just finished this last night.  I love Project Life.  So much fun.  I cropped and printed this photo out in 8x10 but selected NO CROP so the photo is nice and long.  Perfect for this 6 x 12 pocket.
I had my first attempt at getting my journalling correct on and printing it out.  I did it in word and it was super easy so now that I have nailed that Im a happy camper.
I am just about finished another one but I was working on my Kaiser Craft Desk Organiser tonight. I had a friend over tonight who was doing the same as me.  It was a bit of fun. She was speedy and way in front of my.  I do like to procrastinate a bit.  Sooo many papers, sooo many choices..  But I am half way there..

And a closer look

Well that is it for me tonight.  I get to share my exciting news very soon with you all.  I have been chosen to join a delightful bunch of ladies (all from overseas) on a Design Team.  I think the 1st December is when I can share the news.  I was emailed and asked if I would be interested so that was a pretty exciting invite for me.  Im sure I will have fun along the way.
That's it for tonight. Need my beauty sleep.
Take care all my friends

Scrap the Girls

I have had a fantastic two days off work this weekend.. I have been chilling out with my DH and DS.  We didnt have nippers this morning due to rain so I had another sleep in.  DH was cold at 9am and jumped back into bed for Sunday morning cuddles.. then did Corey.  We all got out at 10.30.  Love these kind of mornings.  We then headed out and went to the beach for lunch down at Caloundra, then went house looking.. just looking.. LOL
I need to sort through some photos to do some more Project Life pages.  So I thought I would have a go at a challenge.  I always love the challenges over at Scrap the Girls and Scrap the Boys.  Thought the criteria was pretty cool tonight at Scrap the Girls so here is my take on the challenge.
It was to use the colours
TEAL
WHITE
ORANGE

The spotty paper in my layout is actually orange.. Just comes up a bit red in the photo.

That's it for me tonight.. Had fun with my friends Friday night at Daisys.. Love going there.
Have a great week everyone.. Im off to bed as it is just about midnight.. Thats when I turn into a pumpkin.

Love to you all

Project Life - Fingal Bay

Just thought I would add my third Project Life page in tonight..  I am loving this Project Life journey and it hasnt even begun really.  Just having a dabble with it until 1 January 2013
There are some of the fun photos we took while at Fingal Bay in the school holidays.  We had a blast there and my gorgeous girl Tex come and stayed with us too.  Lots of fun and relaxing.
I have got quite a bit of a stash for PL now.  I have cut up a lot and stashed them nicely away.  I have bought a few Heidi Swapp stamps, Studio Calico and Hero Arts Stamps.  They are all sooo cool.  It has become to be a bit of a nice yummy addiction... cough cough.. (another one)

And below here I have used the lovely Ruby Rock-it Eklectique range.  Very vintage and feminine for my two beautiful girls.  Love these girls to bits.  I have cut out the gorgeous clock and lightly painted it with Windsor & Newton Iridescent Medium which you cannot see on the layout on here but it gives it a beautiful shimmer finish, and I have also used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the Gold on the background of the layout. Once again you are flat out seeing it online here but is beautiful in real life.  I have used a Delish brad, Scrapmatts Dress form, Ruby Rock-it trimmings, Ruby Rock-it pearls.
So nice to know that these girls will be friends for life.  My DD on the left with the dark hair and Bonnie is the other mad blonde.. These girls are nuts together.

That's all from me tonight.  I have a Craft Demo that I am preparing for tomorrow at work 4-8pm at Spotlight.  I have done up some beautiful Christmas cards, a Kaiser Craft Wooden MERRY CHRISTMAS, and I am currently scrapping a clear plastic bauble to hang on the Christmas tree.  Scrapping one side of the template on the inside and the other side is where I put the photo.  They are simply beautiful to hang on your tree.

So I best be off.  I hope you are all having a great week and gettting prepared for Christmas unlike myself.  My DD has informed me all our presents will be in the mail this week.  She is soo good to be so organised and all ready.  Good on her.. She has nothing else to do or organise now except for the day itself.  I wish I could see her.  I miss her.
Goodnight my friends.

Project Life fun

Well I have had a huge couple of weeks again.. Work Work and work.  I do enjoy my job but sometimes its so hard keeping up with everything.  Luckily I have a great husband to come home to and the hugging arms of my son.  After dinner we all have our special time together as my hubby goes to be early with DS and I stay up til I turn into a pumpkin at midnight every night doing what I love most..  I love my creative time. Some nights Im so tempted to just plonk myself in my amazingly comfy bed but then I lay awake with my eyes wide open creating in my head what I could be doing while laying there being lazy lol.
Im really enjoying the PL stuff at the moment.. Love how you can do more journaling on the page.  I spose you can on a layout too but it just seems to be a great way to add lots of journalling in the little pockets that we have on the page protectors.  I am loving using lots of my paper I would not just pick up for a layout.. Awsome stuff.
This is our son Corey at his second ever game of Cricket.  He is loving it so much.  And he has been Captain twice ... and Man of the Match once.  He is going to be the best batter.  He has such a strong whack.  I am pretty proud of him.  He is also pretty impressed with his gear that he has got.  The whites, hat, knee pads etc.  Feels pretty well a part of the team.
I love this boy.  Just in the 4 minutes I have been writing this he has said out load to me... Love you Mum.... I just love that.
Anyway that is all from me for tonight.. I do have another page I will post but need to take a better photo of it.  The photos are to as clear with the work in the page protectors.  Always a glare.
Night night all.. Happy scrapping x

New Project - Project Life

I'm not sure why... but I have decided to take up a new project.... Yip.. thats it... Project Life.  It's not like I have extra time on my hands, or have retired, or have broken a leg and Im stuck to a scrapping chair for the next 6 months... but I think it is because I am just totally addicted to scrapping and I am keen for a new challenge.  Like I said, Im not sure when I will fit it in... but I always manage to do whatever I want to do.  I just go  and go and go.
I have been over the past onto collecting papers and tags and stickers and embellies to put all together for this project.  I'm not sure how I am to get organised for it... but I am going to go in my scrapping room tonight and do a whole lot of cutting up and organising.
I am planning to start this in January 2013 but I wanted to have a bit of a play with it today.
Im pretty happy with how it come out.. I want to get a few more stamps and numbers for dates etc.  But as far as I can see it is a great way to document 52 weeks of one year.!

That's all folks
Hope you all had a great weekend.  I only got today of.  So I am hoping to go to bed early and sleep like a baby.  Need the rest before a 6 week day at work next week.
Take care

Keeping Busy

Well life never seems to slow down.... just when you think you can take a breather... well that's just a joke... no rest time in my life..
I have been working heaps the past few weeks, trying to make cards which I am selling really well, and also fitting in some scrapping as well as my gym training.  I miss my boys so much.  I love them to bits.  And when you get home at 6pm after work, well it doesnt leave much play time.  But I feel blessed that we are a content wee family and are 100% happy with each other when we do get that quality time.
My DH is away atm due to work commitments so I have been catching up on some social time in between my working schedule.
Corey and I went over to my girlfriends place on Sunday night for a sleep over.  She lives on the water near where we used to live and where I miss a lot.  We had a few drinkies and made a yummy dinner.... followed my a great night in to scrap.  Corey and Tex get on fabulous so he loves going over there.  We leave our pushbikes at her place and we go for rides on them when we are over.  Great place to ride along the water at Kawana.  Corey and I slept in while Tex went to work and we had the most funnest time together.  It was a pupil free day and I took the day off work as Daddy is away. Love that bonding time with him.  He is the apple of my eye just like Danielle is to me.
Well anyway enough of me.... here are a couple of layouts I have done .

Was nice to pull out my stamps and get them wet with the ink.  Bit of Teresa Collins washi tape, twine, Prima chipboard, and Tattered Angels Chalkboard.  Prima and Technique Tuesday stamps.  Love them all.

I loved this paper when I saw it.  Thought mmmm I could play with that..not sure how but I need it.  How coooool is this pretty happy and motivating sunshine .
The coolest thing about Amy Tans products is they are all so funky and bright, full of energy and happiness.  They are one of my favourites.  I love the cute wee clouds in the top right hand corner.   And of course a cute as button from The Greatest View.  These totally rock girls!!!

Love the Amy Tan date stamp too.  It says SNAPSHOT and the date.  It has about 12 or so words on it you can add to your date or leave it blank.  Soo cool for $6

Thats it for now.  Hope you all have a great week and looking forward to the weekend.
Love Moonie x

Our Student

Well after a huge week at work this week... I could barely keep my eyes open when I got home Friday night but I still managed to get to Daisys that evening for another great night scrapping with the girls.
As tired as I am and my hubby doesn't get it... it is a wind down time for me.  It's always hard to get there as I work all day Friday and Saturdays now and I dont get home from work til 6pm on a Friday night and I am there first thing in the morning for a full day again.  I basically have a shower, my hubby has a bourbon poured for me and my bags backed in the car for me by the time I am dressed again.. and we sit for about 20 min before I get in the car again to head out for the night.  I am normally tucked into bed by about 1.30- 1.45am Saturday morning.  So after working 6 days this week, including a 9pm finish and Daisys.. work today.. tonight I am buggered.  But it's all worth it.  I am planning on a good night sleep tonight and a nana nap sometime tomorrow.
I am loving the collages I am playing with atm and this is one of them that I printed out last week. I have used cardstock and made my own poloroid frames for the smaller prints.  I love them.   I just really love these photos of my Corey at school.  He loves school and is doing really well.  His favorite is Maths.. He is so smart when it comes to sums.
Anyway this is what I put together using a list of different products.

The very cute Amy Tan tag with Happy Memories.. Perfect for this layout and the cute Basic Grey tag and flag I have used.

Another Amy Tan journal tag.. They are so perfect.. I love her collections

Amy Tan camera stamp, cute buttons from The Greatest View, arrow from Teresa Collins - Vintage Findings, American Craft Amy Tan thickers.

My HAPPY Space

Since I am such a craft scrapoholic and I am also a night owl, I have been blessed by my hubby to have the biggest room in the house for MY SPACE.  I must admit since being here for 2 years now I have accumulated a certain amount of... ummm.. stuff and furniture to accommodate it in here.  I spend at least 3 hours in here a night... unless I am seriously sick.  I either scrap, sit and ponder online, make cards, sew, or just tidy and reorganise.  I am a huge fan of storage containers, boxes, totes, cute cosmetic bags or purses you can pop a few inks in etc.... so I like to swap my things over so the others don't get left out.
There are many special sentimental things in my room.  My husband is very happy I have a happy place and he is a good supporter of my scrapping.  Sure he might not read the journalling on my layout when he looks at it.. but then I tell him too... with a stern voice lol... that is the most important part I say.  I have a king single bed in here for my hubby and son to come and join me sometimes and on the weekends they will watch the footy or the fishing show or like in the holidays Corey will come and join me and just watch a movie.  I love the company.. but not all the time LOL

I bought the blinds.. well not really blinds... from Loot.. they are all plastic crystal like beads.. Love the sparkle they give to my room.

My MOONIE and heart that my husband bought me to add to my room and the cute bird on a branch that was a gift from a great friend Lisa Hayes.
My $20 white storage unit I got from a Garage sale.  I have my punches, inks and stamps in there.
The white book case on the right was also bought at a garage sale for $30

This unit is the expensive piece in here.  It was our TV unit for 4 years but sadly (grin) our telly is on the wall in the lounge.. and simply..... NO ROOM for it.. Perfect for my 12 x 12 Art bins and other stashes.

And there is room for 7 in here.  This is the spare desk for my besties when they come to scrap.  This was also a scratched table from Ikea I picked up for $20.  I must mention that my gorgeous big fat white two pack dining table I use for my scrapping desk was $400 at AMart but got it in the dints and damaged corner for $100.  It has a perfect small scratch on the top exactly where my craft mat sits.

A few little sentiments

Ikea book case.. Worth its weight and gold

My beautiful Dad who we lost a wee while ago.. Dad and I to the left and my sister and I playing his guitar on our first Fathers Day without him :-(

My most amazing two children.  I worship the ground they walk on.  I miss this girl so badly.  Words cannot explain how much.  She has been gone for 3 years now and it seems like a life time.  She is so happy up north now living the life she wants to.. but I will forever have a very lonely empty spot in my heart for however long she is away from me.  It's is life I know.. but I cannot stand the pain sometimes. She is and will always be Mummies best friend... Ok... crying now... sob sob  .... lump in thoat.. ok moving on..
and Corey... well at least I get the biggest cuddles and I LOVE YOU MUMMA ten times a day still.. So that brings smiles to me

My two besties.... my girl on her 17th birthday and my soul mate from Mackay on a visit to me a year ago.  This was our goodbyes and we were gutted.  I will love this girl forever. We have been friends for 16 years

Love this... It is nice and slim line and I have it sitting right next to me on my desk.

All couple of sentimental gifts from friends

And that's my space.... I would love to see your space too... so get out your cameras.. Big or small rooms or spaces or wherever you scrap... It's all interesting to take a look at how others create.
Big week for me this week at work so since it is 11.39pm I should get some zzzzz's in.
Night night for now...
Thanks for letting me share with you
