November and so close to Christmas

It just hit me last night that there are only about 35 days to go til Christmas and then it is all over for another 12 months.  I am prepared and sorted.. I have nearly done all my Christmas cards.. I just have to take the photo to attach to the card, buy a couple more special gifts and that is me done.  We are having a quiet Christmas this year.  My hubby is on Beach Patrol and I respect that as he did last year as well.  No one really puts their hand up yet is can be a very busy day of the year on the beach.  He always asks me first if I mind.. I dont.  Last year Corey and I spend half the shift with him down on the beach and we will again this year.  At least we are still together and loving the sun and the waves.

I am pretty happy to say that I am quickly catching up with my Project Life.  Last night I edited and printed out 3 weeks of photos and slotted them in their hidey holes.  It took me 7 months to work out this is a perfect way for me to be more organised.  Normally I will sit there at the computer editing one picture and then printing and then scrapping it.. I am the slowest scrapper to start with.  Doing it this way makes me procrastinate even more.. Hopeless.!!!!  So tonight I am ready to scrap my Week 43.  excited much..!!

Corey is looking forward to a break but wishes he could at the same time skip the holiday and start Year 6.  He is so excited to be starting year 6 and not to mention they get a new laptop for the year.  He seems to be keeping up with school and having no major issues or struggles.. Thats just awesome in our home.

Ok I am just going to share my last few pages and journal cards with you..

I dig these caravans below.. perfect for me.. I love caravans LOL

Lots of different papers and embellishments used here.. as always.. love to mix up my collections and use lots of colour..
I will be glad to put these two albums in the lounge in January for friends and family to read over… but starting the next one.. well we don't get a holiday do we.. December 31 into January 1st 2014.  I cannot believe I am already thinking about my 2014 title page lol.. OMG who does that !!??
That's all for today.. Thank you for stopping in and having a read of my blog..

Request for Support: A Letter from The Editor.

Hello Dear Reader,

Firstly thank you so much for your support of LPS over the last year, it has meant so much to me. When I first came up with the idea in January this year I had no idea how the magazine would grow.
The first issue in March received just over 26,000 views in the three months before the next issue was released. The most recent issue received over 200,000 views in the first week of its release which is absolutely staggering growth for something that was just a bit of fun.

I adore putting the magazine together and being inspired by all the wonderful work that you all send in. I try to include as much as possible because there is so much talent out there and I want people to see it and draw inspiration from it. Scrapbooking is many things to many people but it is also a universal language that brings many people together through blogs, forums and magazines like ours.

As I mentioned before, LPS was initially just for fun but as it has grown it has also taken a lot more time to put together, it is now a full time job and as it is a free publication I am not in a position to hire and pay staff let alone any of the overheads that are involved in the operation. I would love to continue releasing the magazine as a free resource available to everyone in the coming year but as the workload continues to increase without funds to support the operation it seems unlikely that this will be possible. This is where I would like to ask for your assistance in some fund raising...

How you can help:
AUSTRALIAN READERS: You can support LPS by buying kits and supplies from theLife.Paper.Scrapbook. Shop. This shop was set up specifically for the purpose of keeping the magazine going. We have a small selection of items to choose from including our Summer Scrapbook Kit as well as additional embellishments, stamps, mists and more. If you purchase prior to 30 November use the code NOV10 to receive 10% off your entire order. (Shipping is charged at package rates. For items that can be sent as a letter I will refund the postage difference.)
INTERNATIONAL READERS: You can support us by buying our exclusive Day To Day Project Kit from our Big Cartel site. This kit can be sent anywhere in the world due to it's weight and flatness. The kit has been reduced from AU$32.00 to AU$25.00. This kit is absolutely packed to the brim and is worth over $60 retail.
ADVERTISING: If you are a manufacturer, own a small crafting business or Etsy site we offer advertising in each issue to cater for every budget. We are currently offering 50% off for advertisments placed in the December issue. For more information email me at: lifepaperscrapbook(at)gmail(dot)com

DONATE: If you would like to donate a small amount to continue the publication of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. Magazine for free you can do so via PayPal.

Once again, thank you so much for your support over the last 10 months and for taking the time to read this letter.
Much Love,

Catching up… the story of my life LOL

Whew.. I can finally take a break to do some blogging. Life is always crazy busy and I am pretty well booked up for every hour of my day.  I rush from here to there to get to the next destination or activity that I am going to do.  But like Ive said before I wouldnt have it any other way.  Today I had an appointment for my back. I see a lady who uses a Scanner.  She is incredible and my body responds so perfectly to it.  I was about 20 min early so I sat in the car outside her lovely home for that amount of time and it was so so nice to just SIT!!!!!
I am still 5 weeks behind.. It does not look like I will catch up any time soon.  I did say to the girls @ Daisys two Friday nights ago that I am going to go simple and catch up.. … It lasted for 3 journal pages. LOL.. I just can't put in flat and unembellished.. so I will carry on my slow pace and do it how I do it.
I just wanted to share these last 2 weeks I have completed with you.

I love to use a bit of a mix of papers and core kits… I have used some Pink Paisley frames here with Simple Stories.  Love my die cut of my paper girls

Love the filters using Leme Cam

I have used this cute as Pebble Journal card here … We sell them @ Spotlight for $9.. It is crammed of cool journal cards.

Some Kaiser paper and Simple Stories again.

I love the little crochet flower my Mum made for me.  When she was here I asked her if she could make me some.. I bought her a roll of the crochet cotton.  She asked how many I wanted.. I said .. until the roll is gone LOL
And the cute flair button Michelle from The Stamp Spot made especially for me.. She knows what rocks my boat.  I have an awesome stash of my colours she sent to me.

I have purchased these extra inserts for weeks like this that I have a lot of photos.. So great!!!

My poor wee fella.. He got sick in the early hours of the morning.. Slept for 12 hours and the following day he was all better..Vomited and had a nasty temp.. All he wanted to do was sleep.  It was so nice that all the kids in the camp were hanging around waiting for him to get better so they could all go out and play again.

I must say I love these 4 x 12 inserts!!!!

Here is the example of my …. going simple to catch up.. I lasted most of the page but had to bling up the caravan card lol.. this is when I went back to the old me…. LOL

Another 4 x 12 insert

So that is it for me for a week or so.. I am trying to pump them out.. but with work and doing some nights as well at the moment due to the massive amount of stock we have in for Christmas, exercising, walking, family, housework and I am making cards for people at the moment.. I just have to do what I can.
I must admit editing my photos takes an awful lot of my time.. but I do love to do this.  It is part of my creating.
Til then.. keep happy and keep on scrapping.

Loving Echo Park Relections

Hi girls ... I have been so tied up with Project Life this year I have not had as much time to fit in layouts.. I do miss them.. and it was lovely to put this layout together using the lovely Echo Park Reflections Collection.. It is such a versatile collection.. Vintage... Masculine, boy, girl, Grandparents.  I love it.

I was going through my photos and this one I picked out as the filter I have used on this one was perfect.. Soft touches of greens, blues and a touch of vanilla.
Someone pointed out to me that I have actually used 9 different papers on this layout.. Ohh I do love the layering but I have indeed used 3 different shades of card stock and the other printed paper from the collection.
I have added a few mini alpha letters to the crossword.. love that... and a strip of fine hessian under the title.

I had lots of paper left over as I had the whole collection so I put together these two little cards for a special occasion.. I have lots more left so I am going to pop another layout together or even make a few Fathers Day cards.

The card below I have added a splash of Heidi Swap Color Shine which is stunning... a Tim Holtz button, Freckled Fawn Potty Peoples and twine.. Love how the Echo Park Stickers look so gorgeous all together..

There is a few papers that are perfect for Project Life too.. Add a few natural looking embellishments or Wood Veneers to the pages and your pages will shine!!!

Thats all from me today.. I have a day off and I am happily sitting in an air conditioned gorgeous cafe about to edit some photos for my weeks I am behind in with my Project Life..

Keep happy and love life to the fullest
