Project Life Week 6
Well I am pleased to note that I am nearly up to date with my Project Life 2013. I was weeks behind and all I have done in the past 3 weeks is tried to catch up with it all. Now all I have to do is the finishing touches on the right hand side of week 6 and then up to week 7. Waaaalaaa.. then I am up to date. I cant wait to see the whole album come together. It will be awesome to look through it all at the end of the year.
I got some great advise off Petra Cocoran on taking my photographs of my pages. I have been struggling a bit getting good results while in the page protectors. So Petra said to make sure you are in good daylight but try and keep indoors where the light is coming in but not shining too much in... if that makes sense. It worked and I am much happier with the result. Thanks so much Petra.
My poor baby 48 hours before his 10th birthday. He was so sick the poor thing but recovered very quickly and was back at school after 9 days.
Love these free printable cards I found on the night of putting my page together. Sometimes you know exactly what you want but cant find it.
This is Melissa Hammill girls. She is a crazy but great girl. Love her to bits. Sadly she cant make the PLA retreat now.. But my other friend Monika will be taking her place.

Ruby Rock-it Tutorial

TUTORIAL - Spring Wedding Shadow Box Frame using Bella Wedding Papers | Lisa Webb
I have had this little black shadow box in my cuboard for so long waiting for the right papers to use to create something pretty special. As I painted it black a year ago, when I saw Bellas Wedding and Fusion papers I knew right away that I was going to use them for this project.
Firstly I measured up the boxes and chose 3 different papers and cut 9 of them to fit the squares. I also cut 9 coordinating papers for the bottom of each box. I slotted them in the boxes just to get a good eye on what looked good where. Next I adhere the bottom papers down. Not the back ones yet. We need to scrap these first.
Next we need to number the back of our squares so we know what paper square belongs to what box so we have them in order while scrapping each square. Once you have done that.. chose your photos. I have printed out 2x3 wallet prints and then just cut them down to size.
So now the fun begins.. lets start emellishing our square cut outs. I use double sided foam tape on almost every layout or project. I love the 3 dimension look. In my middle left hand square I have added quite a number of flowers and also used the cute as Silver champagne glasses. Here I have also used the foam tape. If you have a cute teardrop or something similar it is a nice effect to have drop down in the middle of the box. But leave this til last.
Make your middle square your statement. I chose SOUL MATES. I love this sticker. Once again I have used double sided foam tape. Add a decoupage rose to add lovely colour. Using the white ribbon, thread this though a bling buckle. Adhere using double sided tape.
For the heart I have cut out a template, covered it using the lovely Bella Wedding Wedded Foil paper. Adhere your white lace (Vintage Chic Ribbon) then over top of that I have added my black trim. Lastly add a pretty Wedded Organza Brad and Bella Bling Borderlines. Adhere to the box using double sided foam tape.
I have used Bella Wedding Wedded Foil for the background paper for this square. Loved the look of this scalloped circle and TOGETHER FOREVER sticker to add to the top of it. Added Bling Floral strip on top of the silver swirls on the paper. Then added a cute Heart Sticker which are soft and delicate and also another pink organza brad.
The last 4 squares I scrapped I have not done too much on as these are where I have added my photos.
Just love these beautiful Love Birds.
I think every special project like this that you are going to keep forever needs a title..
I thought this was the perfect sticker. NOW & FOREVER. I adhered this using the double sided foam tape for dimension again. Kind of makes its own statement don't you think? Don't forget to add your jewel teardrop if you have one or something similar.

Week 5 - Look out Week 6.. Im ready
Love putting this page together.. Lots of colour and fun. This has probably happened to you if you have had a special event or holiday in one week.. So I added in a 6x8 insert and popped in a few extra pictures of my GF 40th birthday party. What a ripper it was. Such a great night.. Lots of good laughs and good company.
Haha I had to add in the photo of all my coffee cards Tex took the other day. She laughs at how many I have. But like I said.. Im just supporting the locals. I say.. What's like without good coffee??
Here is my 6x8 insert. Just wanted to add these few pics in to remember the fun time we had that night.
So the pressure is off for Week 5 now.. Luv it!!

Ruby Rock-it Layout
Our theme over at Ruby Rock-it this month is all to do with LOVE... that's right.. nice and loving and a little bit mushy.
I have created this layout using the Wedding Collection. It is simple and elegant and just what I was after using this black and white photo.

Week 5 - Capture the Moment
I have had a lovely lazy Sunday at home today with my son. We have just chilled out and done our own thing but together.. He has been downloading music to his iPad while I have been updating my blog and playing with PSE.
I have finished the left side of my week 5
I just wanted to add in a thank you to Jodie along at Polka Dot Creative who I bought this cool SMASH washi tape, and in the parcel was this cute as CAPTURE THE MOMENT manilla tag stamped for me.. I just dont have the heart to throw such cute stuff in the bid by my feet at my desk.. so I recycled it and I love it.
I do like creating my little collages.. I have lots of photos of one moment sometimes and It is hard to just use one.
So off I go now to go and do the right hand side page for week 5. I'll be back xx
I hope you are all enjoying creating your PL for this month. I am starting to get the hang of it all. Still not 100% happy with what I am doing but I am getting there.

Poor little mite
My poor boy who is never sick and is always full of life come down with a temperture on Thursday evening last week.. Ken slept with him for the first 3 hours then left him for the night. Corey was excited about school the next morning which suprised us both. School rung up about lunch time and asked to come and get Corey as his was not well and had been sleeping for 1 1/2 hours. Then they rung back and said.. Corey said he is all good and has gone back to class. LOL
Friday afternoon at 5.30pm when I finished work Ken called me to pick up all the meds for CHICKEN POX... I was like.. OHHHH nooooooo. He was very very sad more due to the fact that we had to cancel his birthday sleep over on the Saturday and Sunday which was all planned with 5 other boys. Movies, pizza, sleeping bags, the next day on the Sunday which was actually his birthday we were taking them all out for breakfast , then to the beach with the boogie boards for the day. He was devastated. His first 3 days were nasty... and we were told he had to have 2-3 weeks off school. Tomorrow is day 9 and he is all ready to go back to school. We were fortunate enough to have a mild dose of them and he is just about all cleared up. Nothing more than a few spots left on his skin which now look like mozzie bites.. so we are wrapped. Corey is busting to get back into the classroom and see all his mates again.
Nice to know we have it out of the way and it wasnt as bad as it could have been. He also wasnt happy that I was taking photos of him in this condition LOL.. I said. "baby.. Mummy scraps remember." LOL
Currently....... Corey is happy again

Catching up with PL
As this is my first year doing PL, I am loving it but feeling a bit overwhelmed with it. I think I have worked out why too which is great.
Here is my Week 3.
We have had massive amount of rain and floods and a nasty cyclone here on the coast. Many homes and properties were destroyed and is very devastating for everyone affected.
I love going through my stash and choosing papers and embellies for my pages. Fun fun
This is the right hand side of Week 3. It is all about the terrible 5 days of Cyclone Oswald we had.
And below is Week 4
Too funny.... While sitting at my desk and pondering trying to find ideas for the last of my page, I come across this on my imac.. Photo booth I think it is called. As you can see I sat there and just watched to see what it was going to do...... hahahha it took these 4 shots of me in a row. Too cool.. and NO I dont normally have two heads.. although sometimes I wish I did so the other could rest while the other one took off LOL
And the right hand side of my Week 4. Still need to fill in my notes..
I have just about finished week 5 and ready to start on week 6 tonight. Just got my photos printed this morning so all sorted ready to rock and roll.
Thanks for popping in. Off to get some inspiration on crochet blankets.. I get my new big fat soft comfy recliner lounge suite in just two days.. so Im getting ready to get out my blanket I started last year.. I have done 60 squares.. I need about 50 more I am thinking to finish it. Then onto my zip up hoodie jacket Im knitting too. Never time for everything I want to do.

Life everyday with laughter!!!
Well we are already into our second month of 2013!! I just cannot believe it!! Time goes so fast these days and I just cannot keep up. So much I want to do every day but just too impossible. If I didn't waste time on sleeping I'd be right..
Last night I got to Daisy Chain Scrapbooks for my Friday night girly catch up. I have missed the last 3 weeks due to our time away and having visitors. So it was nice to be back.
I just love this paper from Kaiser.. Ohhh soo nice. I dont think I will ever get over the wood grain papers. Kaiser have a few out atm and they are all wonderful.
So I managed to get this layout done and tonight I will get my Week 2 of Project Life done. Im half way there.
Here I have added Glossy Accents to my arrows for a glossy finish. I couldn't live without this stuff.
I stamped my favorite Amy Tan camera stamp onto clear acetate and gently adhere it down with a little glue dot.
Love the doily from The Greatest View Etsy Store and the button from Findingnana. I could eat these buttons. I have a very vintage looking vase in my room with them all in there. I just love running my fingers through my stash of them. LOL Obsessed much ??
