My Jump for Life

For ever and ever I have always loved adrenaline..  I love cars and motorbikes, the rides at the Show... the faster and crazier the better, I have done 2 awesome bungy jumps and I love the outdoors.  This is something I have been wanting to do for about 15 years now and my husband got 2 tickets for us to do the deed.  I was more worried about him sitting in the plane as he won't even go in a ghost train at Movie World.  I actually felt like crying for him when I saw him jump.  And yes he was first.  Not by our choices... thats just the way the cookie crumbled.  LOL

I loved it.. It was the most amazing experience just stepping out of the plane and doing rolly pollies out into the sky.  OMG..... the thought of it just blows me away.

So as you can see I had a friend Lisa Hayes who was pretty keen to take some great shots for us ... and that she did.  And of course I couldn't wait to scrap them.  I never really do double pages but it is must do when you have a few great shots you want to document.

Using Bo Bunny Enchanted pp as the base and spraying the edges with Jack Frost Glimmer Mist (OOS) but Turquoise Blue or Heidi Swapp Electric Blue are a great alternative

An easier way when using our Rhinestone Circles is to cut them up individually so you can place them on your layout to find the right position 

And my little blue rose embellishment ... it is easy peasy to make:

Just add:

1 Silver Brass Round Filigree
(2 for 70c)

2  Mini Green Leaves with Brown Tips

(10 for $1.60)

and 1 Blue Rose

(5 for $1.50)

Home Sweet Home

Last week Daisys had their second retreat of the year.... It's always nice to catch up with all the friends I have made there over the past 5 years.

This layout is a class that the clever Toni Crane taught.   I did not do the class but did it during the week at home.  I have changed a bit to it to suit my colourful photo.  Love this photo.  This was taken in November 2010 when the three of us went on the beautiful boat cruise around New Zealand.  We we sooo fortunate to have a very fast but the most awesome 7.5 hours with Mum and John at home.  We called in to Mount Maunganui port and Mum lives just 30 min from there.  We did a fast dash out to home just to be there.  I love my Mum's home.. Home is home and she has her home so full of love and art and creations every direction you look.

Perfect Love

Since I have only scrapped about 4 of my wedding photos and this is one of my favourite photos, I thought I would dig it out and find some paper.  I walked into Daisy Chain Scrapbooks on Friday night for my regular scrap night and this stunning Graphic 45 paper was sitting on the shelf waiting for me. Not like me to do a vintage page I know bahahahhahah...... but it is just my favourite style of scrapping.. Love the soft shabby chic and gorgeous shades of vintage and sepia.

A Challenge for me

 

 Well it has been about 12 months since I took on a challenge. I loved the look of this sketch.  It took my Eye straight away and I was pretty happy with what I achieved. It is pretty simple and clean but was nice to do one like this for a change.

Girls Weekend

 This was the most funnest weekend I have had in such a long time.  I had all these gorgeous girls arrive Friday afternoon for a retreat I held at my place.  It was so much fun.  We ordered our regular Thai takeaway.  We scrapped til 2am and I was shocked in the morning that all the beds were made and the girls were back into it.  I only got up at 8.30. I thought they would all still be snooooozing.. We decided to take off and go to Cotton Tree for breaky and it was to die for.  The girls had a quick pop in to Spotlight... well they were gone a fair while to be honest LOL
I took this photo and on my way home I got us all a copy developed and decided to scrap it that night.  Thanks soooo much girls for the best weekend.

As you can see I have used the gorgeous Pink Paislee printed paper and I have added a lovely cluster of charms and flowers from Tracy over at my2angels.  I love the colour of the resin flowers out you can get now. So full of cuteness. I have used the Pink Paislee chipboard mannequin and popped a trim of antique lace on it.  The chippy is a doily from Scrapware which I have just inked up with my favourite Pinecone ink and lastly I had to add the pretty flower from Collection Elements.
I cannot wait to see your layouts girls using your photo... Will be great to see other takes on it.

My Princess

 I have finally used this gorgeous Bo Bunny Enchanted paper collection for the most special photo of my girl and I.   This was at my husbands Daughters wedding and Danielle was Bridesmaid.  She looks simply stunning and I was ever so proud to be her Mumma.
I have used a few bits and pieces on this layout.. At first I was lost as the paper is soo stunning and it seemed a shame to cover and scrap it..  I covered these cute chipboard hearts of Jenni Bowlin that I have had for donkeys years.. used the simply stunning Prima flowers which were the perfect colour match as I was soo struggling with trying to match up Danielle's dress. I have used Tracys lovely charms from my2angels, Heidi Swapp printed tissue paper which I have slightly gathered, Delish brad and a crystal tear drop.  The leaves are old too but still gorgeous.  These are Making Memories.
I have this layout next to my desk in my scrapping room.  Miss having my girl next to me every day.  It is coming up 2 years now since she left home :-(  I still hate it but my heart is happy that she is so happy up North.

Crazy Love

This is one of my favourite  photos of two of my most favourite people.... Friends like these are for life.. Liz and I and Mike become friends 15 years ago in Mackay.. We lived in the same street and we just can't get rid of each other..... When we spent the fortnight in the caravan Liz and Mike and the 3 kids come up and enjoyed a home away from home holiday in our house.  I took this picture with the Leme Cam app from my iPhone.  I just love the vintage look for this vintage pair.. LOL

I have used Simple Stories paper, Jenni Bowlin buttons which I still adore, Echo Park Times and Seasons paper, Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends paper, 7 Gypsies Lille paper, Martha Stewart punches.. my favourites again, twine and a bit of double sided foam tape.  I have mounted the photo onto some very hard cardboard I had in my stash.

I am looking forward to some cooler weather now.. So over the stinking heat.  We have been giving the air con a thrashing over the past month... We're pretty spoilt with our winters so bring it on I say x

Well it has been a long time coming to get us all together to spend this weekend together.. I have 5 I have 

awesome friends here with me at home for the weekend scrapping.. But we have not only scrapped.. We have watched a list of fun movies, talked about OMG only what close girls would talk about... sooo many funny and embarrassing conversations... been to Cotton Tree for a delicious brunch this morning, oh... scrapped of course, had a couple of nana naps, deliciously roasted organic chooks, eaten to die for home baked Vanilla slice and lots more...
These girls are so much fun, we have no secrets... anymore LOL... and we have enjoyed all of the above along with our scrapping creations. 

I have done really well this weekend.. I have managed to do 3 layouts Im pretty happy with.. Two simple but I do like to do simple now and then.  Like a breathe of fresh air.. so here are my two so far and will photograph the third tomorrow morning..

Mmmm Crate Paper

 Once again Crate Paper just outdo themselves with the absolutely delicious stunning paper they keep bringing out for us guts aches to use and play with.  I fell in love with this Paper Heart Collection.

Love and miss my baby girl like crazy.  She is happy in love with her boy.... so as long as she is living and laughing each and every day..... what more could a doting Mumma like me want for her daughter.
