Daisy Chain Retreat
I love this photo of all the regulars at Daisy Chain Scrapbooks.. This was taken at our August Retreat. I did not get much done as I think I was a bit burnt out after submitting my work in for the Masters.. but over all we have a fantastic weekend and is always a good weekend just to catch up on one anothers gossip and life stories.
From the left is Tenneal, Lisa H, Sheree, myself, Alaine and sitting down is Suzy and Jenny.
Thanks for looking.
Hope you all have a great week. I am lucky enough to only be working Monday and Thursday this week so it is great to have some me time..

This is a layout I have been wanting to do for such a long time but has been hard for me to scrap. Although I lost my Dad 5 years ago tragically to a Stroke and Mum and Dad were divorced, they were still the bestest ever friends and soo looked out for each other for all the years after their marriage. Mum has remarried and Dad and John get on like brothers.. It may sound weird to some people.. but I wonder why.. what is wrong with two or three people liking each other as friends just because their marriage didn't work. I have been blessed to have my parents love each other for all their lives.. All our family get togethers involved Mum and Dad and John and all of us..
Anyway this photo was taken in Feb 1964. My Mum was 20 and Dad 22. Mum made her own dress and veil all by herself. So clever.. I must say I get my creative talent from Mum.. She has taught me so much and now I am even teaching her things.. It's just awesome.
Loved using my cuttlebug to make my flowers... I have also bought this gorgeous Water colour Iridescent Medium. You just paint on lightly to paper, flowers... anything to give it that extra BLING look that I soo can't get enough of. This one I have is made by Winsor & Newton. $12 for a good 75ml bottle which will last me my scrapping years ... umm maybe not.
Thats all for tonight. I have the next 3 days off so I am soo happy about that. Nothing better than hanging around home doing what I want to do.
Night night

Phew... Time to chill out!
Well after a huge 4 weeks.. my batteries are officially flat!!
I have not been so busy with life, work and scrapping for a long time. It has been big but I am glad I got done what I set out to achieve. I have just had a lovely weekend at the Daisy Chain retreat in Nambour. These retreats are always so much fun. Barbi feeds us up like there is no tomorrow on her yummy goodies which we all love, we had lots of laughs but sadly this time round I had absolutely no motivation. I was if anything getting so totally frustrated with myself. The more I couldn't think the more I got frustrated so I had two layouts I just put to the side. I managed to get 2.5 layouts done. I am nearly finished one of my Mum and Dad on their Wedding Day which is so special to me. Just have to get my hands on some flowers I have in mind to be able to finish it off.
So now I can at least take a big breath in and feel free that I have no commitments on for the following 7 days except work. And I only have to put in two full days this week so that is great.
Here are my two layouts I got done this weekend. Can't believe this is all I got done though.
This is my sweet Sam from Mackay who I got to see when we were up North two weeks ago. Learning the wink was so funny.. They are such characters at this age. Looove this paper too.
And this is for a friends Mum. Marni is on the left who works for my sister and keeps my hair nice and blonde.... :-) This is a great family portrait of them all. I am putting this on a canvas for her and it is being sent to her Mum as a gift.
I have used the Heidi Swapp printed crate paper which I have glimmer misted then sewn ribbon over the top roughly. I've also used the Martha Stewart punch and Tim Holtz Scallop Die Cuts.
So that's it for me for this week my friends.. Terrible week for blogging but hey, we have weeks like this don't we. Life just gets so crazy.
Take care and off to check up on all your blogs for the first time in a week.

I need more time!!!!!!!!!!
Hi my girls out there... I had a fantastic week away up North in Far North Qld visiting my girl. Was a fantastic time and we had good bonding time again.. Pity it goes so fast but at least I know she is safe, happy, got all her unit sorted out and was so exciting seeing all her new furniture and housey stuff she bought. I have been on a mission though since I got home which was just Wednesday night. Silly me decided to give the Scrapbooking Memories Masters a shot. Never done it before and I have been procrastination about whether I should put myself to the challenge or not for the past 4 months. Well, 6 days before the deadline.... Yip.... I have decided to dive in and give it my best. Hence the reason I have not blogged or been on bloglines. I have told my Husband and son that I am not available til Monday night. I have just about finished my off the page product, and it is Saturday afternoon. I have just decided last night what to do for my Double layout using Memoriabilia and no idea for my single layout using a recycled item. hahahahah... Mad.... I'm thinking yes... But I am pumped, motivated, excited and am fully going for it. So I will be back when I can finally come up for air... Love to you all out there and the best of luck to all you creative clever chickies that are submitting your work for the Masters also. What an absolute challenge to pick a winner out of soo many submissions. Bye for now Moons
